Hyprland Account is a first-party account for Hyprland stuff.

Why an account?

For convenience, really. One account to manage everything related to first-party Hyprland stuff. You sign into every first-party Hyprland service with your Hyprland account. Less fuss.

Additionally, we can make all the services more easily work together, and we can sell you things, or as we've taken to calling them: give you donations with benefits.

Is an account free?

Yes - the account itself is free. It grants you access to the Hyprland forums, for free. If you do not want to purchase Hyprperks, you can use your account without any restrictions to interact with the Hyprland forums, and any other future free services.

What is the Desktop Experience?

The Hyprland Desktop Experience is a set of opinionated, curated dotfiles made by the Hyprland team, with a one-command installer and a one-click update. They focus on simplicity, yet providing you with all the functionality you need. They are intended to not distract you from your work - keep you in the flow.

Is the Desktop Experience required?

Absolutely not - it's just a massive collection of decisions and configs made for you. If you have the time and will - you can make your own dotfiles. You will have to maintain them yourself, though.

If I donate on Ko-fi, will I get Hyprperks as well?

No - Ko-fi donations are pure donations with no additional perks or benefits. If you want to purchase Hyprperks, you will need to do it via a Hyprland account.

What are the payment methods?

We use Stripe for processing payments. You cannot purchase Hyprperks via any other method. You also cannot purchase Hyprperks anonymously, as we need to know your billing address for tax purposes.

What countries is Hyprperks available in?

Due to tax regulations, or sanctions, Hyprperks is not available in: Turkey, Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, India, Serbia, Mexico, Peru, Uzbekistan, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Armenia, Moldova, United Kingdom.
Your country must also be supported by Stripe.
If you are from these countries or regions, you can donate instead.

Who manages Hyprland and the Account?

It's all still managed by me - vaxry. No greedy shareholders, no unfair practices, just great software for you.

The reality is brutal - in order for me to produce great software, I also need to eat, have a place to sleep, and have elecricity. Ideally, I'd also love to employ a few people to help me down the road. All of this is made with the goal of making that possible.
